Re: [Richard Jules] Verascope f40 serial number info

Thank-you / Merci for this information Arnaud!
The flash ports were probably done here in Australia I suspect. The 1951 model looks like it has a port on a port.

Cheers, Stephen.

Hi Arnaud Hope you have been keeping well? I picked up two f40's in a haul of cine gear and lenses last friday. 1st f40 3650111 and has "Made in France" on the top near the logo and focusing. Only 1 flash port on the camera. Lenses are 1077638 and 1077586 2nd f40 1873108 No Made in France stamp and ...

Camera & French Lightning lens ID?

Hi Sylvain
Sorry, I will fix the links above.
Here is the unbranded tailboard the lens is off.
1/2 plate format and double film holders that lock in place with the same release knob that locks the viewing screen in place.

Kodak with lead seal question.

Hello
I have a Kodak junior 620 with lead seal on the handle.
The history of the cameras life:
Was in Den Haag 1937 and then lived in Germany until just before WW2 started.
From there it went to New Zealand.
Can anyone offer any information on why the seal is there?
