Chronology of cameras Agfa
The Click series is a small range of basic cameras, made of plastic and manufactured in Germany, France, and India. They use 120 film and produce 6x6 square format images. There are five different models in the series (Click, Click-I, Click-II, Click-III, and Click-IV) that all share a nearly identical body, with only minor changes to the lens. The shapes are quite elegant, although the angular design of the viewfinder housing stands out a bit.
With the exception of the Click-IV, the models have a silver film advance knob. The lens and shutter are covered by a metallic trim with minimal inscriptions, and these models have a connection for a dedicated brand flash. The Click-IV is almost entirely black and has an accessory shoe instead of dedicated flash contacts.
This is the French version of the Click. This version was manufactured in Strasbourg, in order to bypass import regulations. It bears only the name Click, without a number. It differs from the German version by some decorative details.
The body of the camera is not bare and striated like on the Click-I, nor coated like on the Click-II. The shell is made of plain plastic and has granulated surfaces simulating a coating. The rewind knob is gray and has pearly nuances.
To the right of the lens is the three-position control offering two aperture values and the insertion of a yellow filter. The bottom of the lens is marked with the simple inscription "6 x 6".
The interior of the removable back shows a remarkable ribbing work done by the engineer, allowing to save plastic material while ensuring necessary rigidity.
The base of the housing is striated and has a tripod socket made in a circular metal piece included in the plastic molding.
A tiny inscription "Made in France" (probably made by hot stamping in the plastic) surrounds this piece.
