Lumiere Elax

3x4 cm format using film 127. The frame is therefore oriented vertically when holding the camera in the normal position. The length of the body is due to the focal-plane shutter of the rigid steel blade type.
This format explains the two red windows on the back. The first Elax had no masking cover.
Speeds: B,  25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 with a device giving long exposures: 2 3 4 1 (?)
The mechanism is very complex, resulting in a delicate use.

This Elax I was given to me by Bernard Vial who obtained it from a former worker of the Lumière Factory.
It has the distinction of being equipped with a cocking lever identical to that of the Elax II.
Instead of the classic Flor, it has a Tessar 1: 3.5, 5 cm, No. 280 137. (We find this same lens on some Ciné 7 made by Debrie.).
