Chronology of cameras Lumiere

The Super is very similar to the Cilmatic Elite. The lens is exactly the same. It is a Color Dignar 1: 3.9 / 40mm with three elements that clearly indicates a Dacora at the origin of this model. The essential difference with the Elite is that, in this case, the window of the light cell does not hide any cell.

This device allows easy loading thanks to the charger 126. The format of the negatives obtained is 28 x 28 mm. It is possible to use a Flash Cube with a 15 volt battery.
The distance adjustment is through symbols or metric scale. Speed and aperture are adjustable by means of five illumination symbols. Speeds are 1/30, 1/60 and 1/125. The aperture range is from 5.6 to 22. The viewfinder is collimated with a centering crosshairs.

In 1968, the unit cost 99.37 French francs.

Should it be put among the Lumière cameras? not easy answer. CIBA-Photo was a brand born from the merging of Ilford, Lumière and Telko in CIBA. Ciba was known for its chemistry and pharmacy, but was not an equipment manufacturer. It recovered chemistry from Lumière and hoped to take advantage of brand awareness in France to distribute cameras manufactured by others.
