History of the brand Mackenstein New window

This press camera from Mackenstein is a klapp type.

It means that it unfolds and that four articulated tensioners ensure perfect rigidity of the bellows.

The shutter is focal plane, but the device has also a Koilos central pneumatic shutter.
The lens is marked "Anastigmat OmniPlan F.3,8 F.120 m/m Fortin Paris" (Fortin is the successor of Paul Cornu in 1904.)

It is fitted with a large Galilee type folding viewfinder.
