Chronology of cameras Konica
History of the brand Konica New window

Traduction de Alphonse Khuu

Here is a beautiful and original 35mm rangefinder.
After the "I" one of 1948, this camera is very well made too and doesn’t really look like to the other cameras rivals.
The manufacturing quality is there. The KONIRAPIDS shutter allows speeds from the second to the 1/500 sec + the B set.
The viewfinder has a beautiful and wide rectangular rangefinder view tinged with yellow.
The lens is a KONISHIROKU HEXANON f2.8/50mm.
Of course, we are a little disappointed by this fixed lens.
The film wind is manual and an anti-overlay device is there.
At that time where there were so much exotic film sizes, the 24x36mm film size of this camera is reminded by engraving on its front.
A mechanical film counter of shots is located in front of the film advance wheel and a reminder of the used film on the rewind wheel.
This copy, probably at the end of the life span of this camera, already has an “IIA” flash sync mode dated of 1955.
