History of the brand Konica New window

Traduction de Alphonse Khuu
Konica showed during the Photokina in 1986 a collection of three models called MT7, MT9 and MT 11.
They have all an overall look fairly close and excellent ergonomics.
The specifications common to all three models are the motorized winding and rewinding and a flash with a very fast recycle time.
The MT 11 is equipped with a lens Hexanon 2.8 / 35mm, 4 elements in 3 groups. The focus is automatic from 1m to infinity. This focus is recorded as a pressure is made on the shutter release; it helps to throw off the centre the main subject. An icon indicates in the viewfinder if the aimed subject is a landscape, a group of people or a close person. With this camera, it is also possible to shoot between 1m and 45cm by pushing strongly on a button for the flash. As a consequence of change a little the optical system and change the angle of the flash. The neck strap of the camera is calibrated from 10 to 10cm. The viewfinder contains several framelines who are different distances of framing. The exposure is controlled by a CdS cell which provides a coupling from 1/4 sec at 2.8 up to 1/500 sec at 16. When we push on the shutter release, if only the distance mark lights up, it means that exposure is correct; if not a red flash appears to indicate that it is essential to use the flash.
The MT 9 has a lens 3.5 / 35mm, 4 elements in 3 groups, with autofocus from 1.3m up to infinity. The focus may also be stored, but there is no icon in the viewfinder indicating the distance. Only a green LED indicates memorization. The flash of MT 9 is a little less powerful than the MT 11 one. The coupling of the cell goes from 1/10 at 3.5 up to 1/500 at 16.
