Chronology of cameras Krasnogorsk
The Zenit 3M was produced from 1962 to 1970. It is replacing the Kristall, the nerdy look of which was holding back the sales. It is also the eldest of the Zenit E. Their technical specifications are, in fact, similar:
• 5 speeds (1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/50 and 1/30) plus B
• The sync speed is 1/30.
• Two triggers: the trigger that is on the cover next to the speed selector and the socket for the cable release at the center of the axis of the cocking lever, which also acts as a "classic". trigger (I do not know if there is a reason for this dual system.)
• Flash sync connection (selector X or M placed around the speed selector)
Zenit 3M is a "rustic" camera: no accessory shoe, no help to the focusing, no cell, no automatic return of the mirror. This is to say that it takes a little experience to produce beautiful pictures. This camera has nevertheless allowed many amateur photographers of the 60s to buy an affordable SLR.
