Scapec Scopa B2

The company " Société de Constructions d'Appareils Photographiques et Cinématographiques de Levallois-Perret" (settled close to the company OPL) had probably a short life. The quantity of produced models is low. Three models were referenced, the best known of them seems to be the "Rollex".

The Scopa is an other name, but the camera is the same . It is a box fitted with a special viewfinder completely concealable in a small box located above the lens.
The lens (named "Spécial") is of the fixed focus type. It is probably a meniscus. There are two diaphragm apertures that may be chosen by acting on a small pull handle located below the lens. There is a big and a small aperture diaphragm. The shutter offers instant and time exposures.
The sheathing of these cameras tends to come unstuck, probably because of a bad adherence on the aluminum.
