Chronology of cameras Yashica
History of the brand Yashica New window

Traduction de Manuel M

One of the first autofocus cameras just after the Konica C35 AF.
Yashica was rapid to reply to Konica and introduce at the time of Photokina 1978, this camera. It is rather close to its competitors. Its lens is a Yashica 38/2.8. The exposure is automatic non-disengageable and the flash integrated.
Beside the lens is a pushbutton “Focus Lock”. It makes it possible memorize the calculated distance. This function can appear obsolete taking into consideration of the last autofocus where it was enough to maintain the pressure on the release memorize the focusing. At the time, this button represents a real improvement. It is however not free of defect, because it is necessary to release to force the return to zero!!!
This camera works with two batteries LR6 of 1.5 Volt.
