Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
History of the brand Zeiss Ikon

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.
The models of bakelite folding camera are rather very few, undoubtedly, the material offering an insufficient resistance on this type of camera. One knows Pontiac and Gallus, presented beforehand on this site. Both rise from another German camera, Ebner.
The bakelite of this Simplex, which is of color chestnut, seems affectionner dust. The remainder of the camera is of invoice traditional for Zeiss. If one compares it with Bob, one recognizes the scissors of the flap perfectly, as well as the crutch.
The objective is Nettar ( anastigmat ) f8,3: 10,5 cm. The shutter is a Gauthier (AGC), Telma model, which allows from the start to date the camera after 1926, year of beginning of manufacture of this model of shutter.
