Chronology of cameras Nikon
The Nikon M is the successor to the Nikon I. The format of the negative is enlarged and goes from 24 x 32 mm to 24 x 34 mm. It will be necessary to wait for the Nikon S2 to see its format increase to 24 x 36 mm. This model is marked "Made in Occupied Japan". It dates from 1949 to1950. It has no synchronization for the flash (later Nikon M models will be synchronized). In addition, the take-up spool of the Nikon M is fixed, while that of the Nikon I is removable. The Nikon M was manufactured in about 3350 copies.
