Chronology of cameras Coronet

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

This 6x9 cm box camera is of classic ….and economic make.
The frontpart is made of wood and metal while the rear part is made of strong cardboard.
It has been produced in France on behalf of Tiranty.
At the back of the camera is stamped in circle in the leatherette  “Coronet Camera – Made in France” around the Coronet’s logo in a form of a crown.
Something noticeable: the handle at the top of the camera is not made of leather but made of black lacquered metal.
Around the lens is written « Objectif méniscope Tiranty» The lens is surrounded by a circular label plate where is printed « Coronet made in France Bobox- 6x9 - 8 poses »
One pull-out handle on the top of the camera allows to choose between snap shot and bulb exposure.
At the bottom of the front face, the name “Coronet” is embossed on the covering. That's the difference with another  variant.
I may now state without error that.........it is a Coronet!
