Minolta X-300

The X-700 in 1982, the X-500 in 1983 and the X-300 in 1984.
Minolta widened their "X"-series by introducing a more basic camera. The X-300 is the little sister of the X-500. It shares the semi-automatics and the shutter priority AE but loses the TTL support of the flash. The top cover and the controls were redesigned.
It's an easy to use camera. Changing from manual to semi-automatic mode is done by rotating the infinite turning shutter speed dial. A large On/Off switch shuts down all electric consumers. Even if the button appears to be quite small the exposure memory (AE lock) is easily activated..
