Houghton Ensign Midget 22

The Ensign Midget was the cheapest in the range. Compared to the Ensign Midget 55, on the same chassis, it provides:

  • A single-frame sports viewfinder (instead of a double frame sports viewfinder AND a folding optical viewfinder)
  • A fixed aperture (instead of four)
  • Snapshot and time exposure modes (instead of three speeds plus poses B & T)

It cost 22 shillings. The design qualities (everything folds, nothing protudes) and aesthetics are common to these three models (22, 33 and 55) designed by the Swedish designer Magnus Niell.
