Chronology of cameras Polaroid
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
The 5000 was first “general public” Polaroid adopted the new process of focusing ordered by a sonar. The process had initially been launched on the SX-70 Sonar which was a collapsible reflex camera; but this camera was worth nearly 1500 francs. Polaroid thus launched this 5000 by primarily basing its advertizing countryside on its price: less than 600 francs.
The camera could be bought alone or in Combi-pack which gathered the camera and a dedicated flash: Polatronic 5.
