Chronology of cameras Agfa

Traduction de D.C.

At the beginning of the 50’, Agfa produced two foldings for export to USA and named them Ventura.
The Ventura 66  ( 6x6 cm format) which was the export renamed version of the Silette V
The Ventura 69 (6x9 cm format) which was the version of the Billy Record I shown here.
A “Deluxe” alternate of each one of the export versions has also been produced at the time.

The Ventura 69 shown on this page is a classical 6x9 format folding rollfilm camera. The quality of the materials used in the construction is to be noted.
It has been built for the American market in the US zone of the occupied Germany as stamped in the leatherette covering the bed of the camera.

This camera was sold first with the name Ventura 69 from 1950 to 1952 by Agfa, then from 1952 with the name of Viking by Ansco, It has been finally sold with the name of Billy Record I
