Agfa Optima Reflex

Traduction de Manuel M

Agfa had already tried out the formula of the hybrid reflex camera “SLR with two lens” with Flexilette. Under the general aspect and the overall of a big mono-lens reflex camera, Agfa had manufactured a Reflex camera TLR, i.e. with two lens; for the viewfinding, the other for the shots.  Flexilette was so close to a TLR which it preserved the viewfinding aiming on ground-glass.
Little time afterwards, Agfa decided to be further equipping its camera with a erecting prism and a complete automatism, borrowed with the Optima, from where this name of Optimum-Reflex camera.
The result is an expensive apparatus (398 DM, expensive than Rolleicord), of good quality.

A complementary add lens could position in front of the two lens in order to bring back the minimal distance from focusing from 80 to 38 centimetres.

Our Canadian friends will be able to find it under the specific name of Agfamatic Reflex.
