Chronology of cameras Grell

Clartex is a trademark dedicated to vertical and horizontal enlargers for the projection and photography, enlargers built by HA Grell, Rue de Turenne in Paris (3rd). This manufacturer also marketed in 1926, the "Rio" cameras. Presumably this camera was sold by this manufacturer. However, some features are reminiscent of a German manufacturing, at least for the body of the device. Made of steel sheet, sheathed with false leather, it has neither distance scale nor scale of apertures. Simply on its "art deco" styled front, a small lever with two positions: I (instantaneous) and P (time). Behind the lens, there is a "guillotine" shutter without cocking. The shutter trigger is on top of the lens block (next to the viewfinder).

Note the positioning of the receiving coils located on the back of the device (as on some models of Azur foldings from Boumsell).
