Leidolf Leidox I

Traduction de Manuel M

Leidox I was one of the first cameras of the brand.
It is about a very basic camera. The fact that it has any rewinding knob avoids us thinking of a format 135. Indeed, it required film with format 127; which gives 12 negative squares of 4 side cm.
Resolutely its characteristics are those of a bottom-of-the-range camera: The lens is a triplet, its Vario shutter has only three shutter speeds and the pose B (one can however find it with a Pronto or Prontor S). Its coating is a black frosted painting.

Its mode of opening of the back is original since it is done while turning the two rotary buttons which are also used for the neck belt.

The advance of film is done by observing the number of the exposure through a classic small window equipped with a red inactinic filter.
Beware with the involuntary double exposures because there is no control between the advance of film and the shutter!
