History of the brand Mackenstein New window

Traduction de Manuel M

In this new camera, the manufacturer mainly attach himself to have a magazine which holds little place as possible. There are twelve plates placed the ones behind the others, in metal chassis. Two steel rods, whose end is in catch with the last plate of the block, are used to make the change; the plate thus seized is raised, pass above the block which is inclined entire to make him place, then, after having let it pass, goes back by the only effect of gravity. While pushing back the rods , which are joined by a cross-tie, the plate comes to be put in front of the block and is ready be exposed. In order to prevent a double exposure on the same plate, a lock automatically forbids the use of the shutter, which one cannot cock again as long as the change was not operated. The viewfinder makes it possible to follow the subject by holding the camera with height of the chest or eye level, at will.
