Demaria-Lapierre Telka III version PRO

The unit shown here is the model says "Professional" of the "classic" Telka III (called deluxe version in advertisements). Announced in 1953, this version has been produced little because it had not much success.

This model differs from most common versions by the disappearance of chromium on housing edges (replaced by a black lacquer). In addition there are more systems to prevent double exposures. The recess in the cover, next to the winding knob allows to see the red mark when the shutter, is blocked by a small metal pellet (see details on the device).

May be these facilities were designed to lessen the selling price which was one of the higher at this time, a disability to the dissemination among professional photographers.
(On the page related  to Telka I a press insert is shown announcing this camera).
