Chronology of cameras Ricoh
History of the brand Ricoh New window

It is a simple bakelite camera in the line of the Olympic C and four from Asahi Kōgaku Kōgyō.
Although this device still has the inscription Olympic Camera Works on its side and New Olympic on the back, it seems to have been distributed by Riken, the parent compagny's.
This is an evolution of Semi Olympic and New Olympic New (4.5 x6) that they seem rather to have been distributed by Asahi Kōgaku Kōgyō.
When going away from 1937 ,the Asahi Bussan redemption's date by Riken, the limits between the Riken models and Asahi Asahi Kōgaku Kōgyō models are more difficult to identify.
