Chronology of cameras Omnium Photo

Traduction de Manuel M

The Pocket-Filmo is present in Photo the Omnium catalogues as being a specific model “Omnium”. An examination of engraving allows to discern a “JD”, and in the reading of description, several elements make it possible to affirm that it was built by Jules Demaria. Omnium Photo seems to be much stocked up near this manufacturer. The address of Omnium was 29, rue de Clichy in Paris. That of Jules Demaria was 35, rue de Clichy.

For reminder, Jules Demaria is one of the two Demaria brothers who separated at the following day from the first war. The other brother continued to manage the family business under the name of Demaria-Lapierre.

The camera is an entirely metallic klapp camera covered with frosted painting.
