Morita Trading Co. Kiku 16 Model II

The Kiku 16 model II is a small aluminum camera with general appearance reminiscent of the Leica III. Of course, here you'll find neither a coupled rangefinder nor any means of focus.

The lever at the bottom of the front plate arms the single-speed shutter, whilst the dial at the top allows choosing between this speed and the bulb.
The shutter button is typically located on top of the camera; so is the knob to advance the film. The rewind knob is there just for aesthetics: the 16 mm film on its paper protective sheet does not require to be rewound.

View numbers appear in a window at the back which closes with a small sliding plate. The back is fully removable and locks with a "quarter turn" of the key.

There is a dedicated yellow filter which doubles the length of the lens barrel and gives it an impressive telephoto aspect.
