Chronology of cameras Leica
This model was presented at the "Salon de la Photo" in November 1991, Minolta Riva Zoom 90c. Both cameras share some technical similarities, including the Eye-Start system, specific to the Minolta brand. The elongated shape and arrangement of the various windows corroborate the origin of this Leica, which despite wearing the red logo is more Japanese than German.
The zoom lens of the Leica is slightly shorter than the Japanese. Not showing a German model name, we can also assume that this zoom is manufactured by Minolta.
The grip is good because of its shape and its coating. It is entirely automatic. An LCD display recalls the exposure settings, the battery loading, the frame counter, the self-timer and the selected mode.
