Chronology of cameras Sida

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.

The paternity of this camera is generally allotted to Fritz Kaftanski, generally more known for its Fex. The Sida was manufactured during the 30's in Berlin. There were several variants which differed by the matter, technical operation etc…
This version of 1936 is made of moulded metal.
The film is specific and makes it possible to obtain the negative ones of 24 X 24 mm. The lens is a F: 8/35 mm.
Years later, after the war, a French version will be born; it will be called Sidax and been made of bakelite. All over the world (the United Kingdom, Italy etc.), of the equivalent models will be manufactured under license.
