Loisirs is one of the Photax 6 X 9 variants. This variant was intended for the Photo-Plait distributer. This Photax was the first of a great line. Bi-format (6 X 9 and 4,5 X 6), it acts of the extrapolation of the MIOM 4 X 6,5. The change of format involved acroissement size of the camera. To reduce its obstruction, its lens was assembled on a rtractable tube made of bakelite. The metal ring, which is visible with the base of the tube, makes it possible to leave this one, thanks to its helicoid slope.
The mask interns which made it possible to pass from one format to other unfortunately disappeared from this camera.

This camera is the largest MIOM.
