Chronology of cameras Carl Zeiss Jena

Traduction de Manuel M

The Carl Zeiss company was created in Iena in 1846 to develop and manufacture optics with all purposes, of which famous Planar launched in 1896 and Tessar launched in 1902. This same year 1902, Carl Zeiss takeovers very young body corporate PALMOS AG before created 2 years and thus enters the manufacture of cameras. And this, until 1909, where the Palmos branch is integrated in new corporate ICA, Carl Zeiss continuing its traditional manufacture of optics.

The camera presented is out of metal what locates it between 1904 and 1909.

It is of klapp type to tensioners. It is provided with a t Carl Zeiss Tessar lens of 150mm opening with 1: 4.5. The shutter is with plane focal curtain from 1/15 to the 1/1000 second.

The viewfinder equipping this body seems to be brought back because it does not correspond to nothing known on this model.
