Chronology of cameras Ansco

This box is very ordinary and simple. Its only adjustment is the side lever that triggers the time exposure (Bulb mode).

The inner cone that supports the film is made of wood. On one of its sides, the numbers of the patents used during the design of this model are inscribed.

__________

Patent No. 1,489,190

This patent was filed on September 5, 1922, and published on April 1, 1924. The inventor is C. Bornmann, and the applicant is Ansco Photoproducts, Inc., from New York. It concerns a specific design of the front of the film support cone. In a manner similar to tenons and mortises, a protrusion fits perfectly into a rectangular notch around the back of the lens. The purpose is to provide better support for the cone, preventing any film movement and limiting the possibilities of light entering anywhere other than the dark chamber.
