At the Photokina of 1978, Yashica introduce several cameras of which this compact cameras of small size, a basic model for Yashica.

It can work in automatic mode with priority with the aperture thanks to a cell placed at the top of the lens block or in manual mode.
Its viewfinder very luminous, is collimated with correction of parallax. On the picture, one can see under the front window a tiny square. This opening makes it possible to display in the viewfinder, thanks to a prism, the value of the ring of focusing.

The cocking and the advance of film are done using the serrated roller located on the sole. On the higher hood, are the window of the exposure counter, the flash shoe with central contact and the shutter release.
A distance scale, graduated in meters and feet, surrounds the lens of 38 mm which opens F: 2.8 to 16.  

This camera is designed to be used with the flash C5-10 of Yashica.
