Chronology of cameras Ricoh
This is a very complex camera with all of the advanced features of the period except an interchangeable lens! It was one of two cameras produced by Ricoh and Olympus in collaboration, the other being the Olympus Z4. It was the first of a short series of Mirai, and the only SLR. The camera is very heavy (over 1Kg) the zoom is slow, and the camera is hopelessly unbalanced. It has only a modest wide angle and no close focus ability. Ricoh also sold a more powerful flash (GN30 ISO10 0m) and a telephoto conversion lens (1.5X) for it. The combination of great weight and long lens meant that a tripod would often be needed. Some writers describe it as a 'bridge' camera, but a bridge to what?
