Chronology of cameras Ansco

As many Ansco cameras, the folding models of the brand have a code in their name indicating the negative format. The rest of the name is more random and is especially unreliable when reproduced by distributors.

Therefore, having an exhaustive list of folding models is a daunting task. Here is a draft of a list of folding cameras:

The "Junior" models are an economical alternative to a more sophisticated model. The most obvious difference is the lens support, which in the case of the Junior models does not allow for movements like lens tilting or shifting. Lenses and shutters might also differ, but this alone isn't a sufficient identification key.
Sometimes, French distributors refer to these models as "Pliant," referencing the term "Folding". There is no equivalent word in the original names of these cameras.

__________

The No. 3A Junior is impressive due to its dimensions. It produces negatives of 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 on 122 roll film. Another curiosity of this device, otherwise devoid of technical embellishments, is the curious black fabric covering the inside of the folding hood.

The two supports (one for horizontal shots and the other for vertical shots) deliberately defy the straight line.
