Chronology of cameras Glunz
This camera was made ??in Germany by Glunz, who had factories in Hanover. It has been found with three 12 x 9 format plate holders. This is a rather luxurious model made of metal. It is equipped with a Compur shutter providing 1/200 sec. and a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar lens 1: 4.5, 135 mm.
For the framing system to which is attached a small spirit level, this model is equipped with a frame viewfinder and a brilliant viewfinder that can rotate depending on the selected frame. A double extension type bellows allows for taking close-up views. Two micrometer screws allow the lens plate to be offset horizontally and vertically.
Advertising in the magazine Revue Photo Cinéma (n° 268 dated 15.02.1931) of the early thirties, offers this unit with the reference "Glunz 60" priced at 1,175 francs. Tiranty was the importer for France.
