Chronology of cameras Gomz
Traduction de Christophe Nettels
The Russians were among the last to believe in popular stereo photography to the point of producing stereo cameras in large quantities. This one dates from the early Sixties. It's a three-lens-reflex camera (the central lens is used for focusing only) using 120 film to obtain two 6 X 6 cm negatives. The simultaneous focusing of the two shooting lenses is ensured by the fact that they are connected to the central viewfinding and focusing lens by means of gears. The rod you can see below the shooting lenses, allows the simultaneous setting of the diaphragms, the one visible between them, ensures the shutters are triggered simultaneously. The finder is a sporting-type and has a magnifying glass for precise focusing. The body seems to be made of bakelite.
