Mamiya NC 1000 S

The NC 1000 S was available in both chrome or black version.

This model was, in 1977, the only one to offer as many different designs of glasses:

  • Frosted with 45° split image rangefinder and microprism
  • Frosted with horizontal split rangefinder
  • Frosted
  • Frosted crosslinked

The shutter is electromagnetic like for the Canon AE-1, which prohibits any use without battery. The camera cannot be motor driven.
The storage in memory of the exposure may seem classic nowadays, but was innovative at the time, since it was sufficient to press the trigger button halfway up.
