Chronology of cameras Agfa Ansco

Agfa and Ansco joined forces in the American market between 1928 and 1943. Agfa-Ansco, a subsidiary of I.G. Farbenindustrie in the United States infiltrated by Nazi spies (as reported on the evening of August 5, 1951), was absorbed as enemy property, and Ansco continued its activities independently.

During this period, some models were marketed under the Agfa Ansco or Ansco brand. This partnership is the reason why one can find Agfa cameras labeled "Made in USA."

__________

This Box camera, available in the B-2 format (Agfa's designation for 120 film), also comes in a D-6 format (using film format 116), as well as a simpler "Regular" model.

Being a "Special" model, it incorporates not only the standard features of this series (dual format, T mode, diaphragm lever with two apertures and a yellow filter) but also includes a detachable close-up lens for close-up shots (such as portraits).
