Huttig Record
Huttig Record 9 x 12

The elegant Huttig Record is a wooden strut-folding camera that appeared around 1903 and was produced until 1909, and from then on continued under ICA brand. It was designed to use 9 x 12 cm plates. This particular camera has the engraving ‘Modell 1909’.

It is a good quality camera covered in black leather and double struts, with dark red pleated bellows. It has a Newton folding finder and focusing can be controlled on the back groundglass.

The lens is mounted on a revolving plate and thus includes horizontal or vertical movements. The lens is a Goerz Syntor ID No. 1 with 6.8 of maximum aperture, mounted in a frontal focusing mount.

The focal plane shutter operates in a combination of slit width (controlled externally from 4 to 90 mm) and spring tension with selector for rapid and extra rapid speeds, which delivers T and 1/15 to 1/1000 second exposures.
