Chronology of cameras Alsaphot

Traduction de Alphonse Khuu

The special feature of this Dauphin compared to other models is to have been manufactured in Holland. Around the lens appears the name "Franerex-Holland."
Alsaphot has always been associated with military history. Its origin comes from a diversification of the parent company ALSETEX, Alsatian corporation of explosives, in the 30s, with a new location in Anjou. After war, agreements were signed abroad, including one with a weapons company in the Netherlands.
The name and logo "Alsaphot" appear on the button of the film advance.
The lens seems to be a meniscus lens. The shutter with two shutter speeds 1/25 and 1/75 and two apertures: 8 and 16. This model is dated from the early 50s.
