Chronology of cameras Hanimex

This is a good example of how Hanimex took an idea and simplified it to reduce cost. It is the little brother of the Hanimex Amphibian, but it is also based on the Minolta Weathermatic A

The film is advanced by a motor, requiring no penetration of the case for a winder. The lens is Hanimex's F4/20 mm which is 'wider' than the more usual 26 mm, and used on several of Hanimex's upright 110's in the late 1970's. (good for photos of large sharks)

The 'wider' lens allows it to be fixed focus making another knob unnecessary. There are three apertures for bright sun, overcast and flash, but only one shutter speed, probably not more than 1/60 s. There is a lock on the shutter to prevent accidental exposures. The flash has a range of a little over 2 metres under water or 5 metres on land with AS400 film.
