Chronology of cameras Minolta Samsung
Samsung Precision devenue Samsung Aerospace Industries, elle-même disparue en 1999 lors de sa fusion dans Korea Aerospace Industries a été fondée en 1977.
Au début de son histoire, Samsung Precision a fabriqué une variété de produits, notamment des appareils photographique1. Dès 1979, Samsung Precision a réussi à nouer un partenariat technologique avec Minolta. Parmi les premiers appareils concernés, il y a les Minolta Hi-Matic S et SD et le Minolta XD5.
A l'instar de Samsung, dans les années 1980, plusieurs Cheabols chercheront à nouer un partenariat technologique avec pour chacun un fabricant japonais d'appareils photographiques différent2. Seul Samsung saura mettre à profit ce type de partenariat pour acquérir un savoir-faire suffisant pour aller jusqu'à la conception et la production d'un réflex argentique à objectifs interchangeables de façon autonome, le Kenox GX-1. Sur le chemin de l'acquisition de ce savoir-faire, Samsung coopérera également avec Chinon notamment pour le développement du bridge Kenox ZL-43.

This X-300 was intended for the South Korean market as shown by the three-star Samsung brand logo on the right of the lens.
Apart from the added Samsung logo, this camera has no apparent differences with the model sold in the rest of the world.
In the Korean peninsula, the X-300 is often accompanied by a 50mm f/1.4 Samsung MD Korea.
This three-star logo is the one used by Samsung from 1980 to 1992.
