Chronology of cameras Kenko

The Kenko KF-3YC is a Yashica / Contax mount SLR camera with manual exposure control.

In addition to long time exposure (B), the shutter speed ranges from 1 second to 1/2000.
The viewfinder is uncluttered, the information being limited to 3 diodes (correct exposure, over and under exposure).
Focusing is manual with a split-image range finder line at a 45° angle surrounded by a microprism doughnut.

The KF-3YC reference is engraved on the top cover rear face.

Like most of the other Kenko of the "KF" series, the Kenko KF-3YC has a twin among the Phenix brand: the Phenix DC 303. With two differences however: the Phenix has a plastic instead of metal battery cover and the split-image range finder line is horizontal.
