I like the retro fashion look of this 24 x 36mm rangefinder of 1959 and some strange and unusual tricks. When we weigh it, we see immediately that it was only good big metal.
1st specificity: I searched for 10 minutes the ring of distances on the lens and I finally find it elsewhere: Under the shape of a wheel behind the camera body operated by the right thumb. This is not stupid, the proximity of rangefinder facilitates the coupling and displacement of the lens from front to rear must only need a referral of gables and a rack rail. The indication of depth of field is made on top of the camera thanks to a rotating disc ahead distance indication. In addition, the viewfinder takes into account the parallax through a collimator that moves in the viewfinder according to the focusing distance.
2nd specificity: The rewinding crank of the film is located on the side of the camera and not on the top. I think the intention was to hold a minimum of room to place the viewfinder the most on the left so that to enlarge the rangefinder basis (distance between the 2 windows).
3rd specificity: The setting of the exposure. Here, I give in. After several tests, the most likely hypothesis is that selenium cell is Out of Order. But the 3 rings that rotate with strange relationship on each other make me confused. I'll try it with the old way: with a hand cell.
4th specificity: The film advance lever is under the body like the Kodak Retinette
The lens is a 45mm Fujinon opening at 2.8, the shutter is a Fuji Synchro MXL 1/500 per sec and a B setting. The plug of flash sync is on the shutter and a lever allows you to choose M or X sync. The self-timer is also placed on the shutter in front of the sync lever.
