Chronology of cameras Canon
137,250 units of the Canon 7 were produced from June 1961 to November 1964 (Serial numbers: 800000 to 999000). It is a very different camera from its predecessor, the P.
It is a rangefinder with interchangeable lenses. The mount is the 39mm screw type (like Leicas), but there is also a specific bayonet for mounting the Canon 0.95/50mm lens, which has a large diameter.
The rangefinder has a long base. Parallax is corrected. There are frames for 35mm, 50mm, and 80/100mm lenses. The standard 50mm lens is available in f/1.2, f/1.4, or f/1.8, and of course, the Holy Grail is the f/0.95.
Loading is done from the back. On one side, there is a lateral sync-flash socket with a bayonet for the "UNIT II" flash.
The 7 was the most successful model of the series. It was followed by the 7S, and then the 7Sz.
Presented with the highly sought-after Canon 0.95/50mm lens.
Special 0.95 mount
The camera here is equipped with the Canon Camera Holder L, which, among other things, allows it to be kept flat when the 50mm f:0.95 is mounted on it! (Coll AB)
