Chronology of cameras Debrie

The "Sept" (Means "Seven" in French) from Debrie is a fairly marginal unit. Its name came to him from the seven functions it could perform, including the ability to be used as projector and to convert negatives into positives.
It is provided with a removable motor, but it's actually a 35mm cine camera that only accepts five meters long film tapes , which allows sequences of ten seconds at normal speed. But it also allows for conventional photography (18 x 24 format), and also time exposure, making it a real half-size format still camera. The framing is from the top or by means of a retractable Galileo viewfinder.

The square motor is of the first generation. Presented item has been subject to a tinkering by adding a large frame probably for a technical or scientific use.
