Chronology of cameras Feinwerktechnik
The brand manufactured only one type of camera which came in several variations , with various colours , using 16 mm perforated film in a special cassette.
The SB , presented here is a much more sophisticated version , since fitted with a Gossen TTL cell (the first of its kind according to Mc Keown) .
This model , the last of the brand , looks pretty similar to Model 1 , but it is not. Everything is different. Only its philosophy has been kept ...
Highly sophisticated, it has a built-in Gossen cell behind the lens (TTL)
This is unfortunately forgotten. But MEC- 16 SB has been, all formats considered , the first camera to have a TTL light metering !
Technical differences with Model 1:
• TTL cell Gossen,
• Manual cross adjustment of the exposure,
• Heligon Rodenstock lens f 2.0 / 22 mm,
• on this specimen,, the focus distance is scamed in meters. The minimum distance is 0.3 meters (1 foot).
A beautiful object and THE precursor in TTL metering .
