Chronology of cameras Asaflex
The brand Asaflex was registered on March 15, 1977, and renewed in February 1987, by the Compagnie de Diffusion Internationale et Commerciale (S.A). It was re-registered in February 1988, again for photographic equipment.
Subsequently, the "Gorthex Group" (located at 140 rue de la Pompe, 75016 Paris) simultaneously filed for the trademarks Asaflex and Gorthex on January 23, 1997.
The cameras sold under the Asaflex brand come from various manufacturers. They all originate from low-cost production countries such as China, Hong Kong, and similar regions.
Asaflex cameras are generally of mediocre quality but come with a low price tag. They are commonly found in flea markets. Being of little interest to most people, they often end up being discarded or thrown away.
