Chronology of cameras Agfa
The Karat IV is the ultimate model in the Karat 36 series. Although its design dates back to 1954, the availability of high-quality lenses makes it a valuable camera: Agfa Solinar 2.8, Schneider Xenar 2.8, Agfa Solagon 2.0, Rodenstock Heligon 2.0, or Schneider Xenon 2.0, all mounted on a Prontor SVS shutter.
The version featuring the Heligon lens, reserved for export, appears to be the rarest.
The Karat IV is easily distinguishable from other Karat models by the alignment of its two rangefinder windows, which are positioned horizontally.
