Le Nikkormat FT2 (appelé Nikomat FT2 sur le marché japonais) prit en 1975 la succession du Nikkormat FTn sur le marché français.
Sur ce modèle, la griffe porte-accessoire est fixe, avec un contact flash direct.
Sur le boîtier, il y a une fenêtre avec l'indication de sur ou sous-exposition.
Le verre de visée a un télémètre à champs croisés, des microprismes et un dépoli.
La pile est à l'oxyde d'argent.
