Take a look at Cinex , then Flex-Master, then the Royal Reflex , and then … Longchamp. You might think you were seeing things : what happens when you clone the same camera.

Although there is some of that going on here, no precise explanation for this transatlantic phenomenon exists.

After a closer look, Cinex proves to be only a distant cousin to these cameras as it lacks the small pediment in the shape of a cocked-hat that the others have . Nevertheless, the inspiration (what ever the source) is undeniable.
